Error Code EX1054 When Submitting Application

Recommended Posts

Ive tried to investigate the issue myself but I don't have much to go on with Error EX1054. I am assuming its a configuration error and not a bug. The application works prior to adding custom fields.

You can access and fill out the application but upon submission it throws the following:

Sorry, there is a problem

Something went wrong. Please try again.
Error code: EX1054

Solved this issue. Ran into an error that I have not be able to recreate in which copying a field failed. However, it still copied it so I kept using it. Somehow mySQL and the templates didn't communicate so there was no data to submit. Very weird. Ill post if I recreate the issue down the road.

This makes sense and is due to the copy custom field bug. This is not a bug itself. When a custom field is created, it adds a new column to the application database to hold the data of the custom field. Because the copy function is not working, it’s not adding the column to the database therefore it’ll throw an error when trying to create an application.

To resolve in the mean time, do not copy custom fields. Create them from scratch.

If you’ve copied any custom fields, delete them (you’ll get an error because it can’t find the column that was suppose to be added) and recreate from scratch.
